About Buggify Pest Solutions
Tyler Craig founded Buggify in 2018. Boca-based. Family-owned. Owner-operator since day one.
Tyler Craig founded Buggify Pest Solutions in 2018, working from a single client list inherited from his apprenticeship years. Eight years later, most of those original customers are still on the program: 1,000+ South Florida homes served, with 10-year customer relationships among the earliest accounts. Buggify has stayed deliberately family-owned and owner-operated: Tyler is the only technician, the shop sits inside West Boca Raton at 22617 Middletown Dr., and the same person who takes your first call is the one who shows up to your house.
Buggify Pest Solutions
From apprenticeship to family-owned pest operator
Tyler Craig started in pest control as an apprentice technician working under a Boca-area operator in the early 2010s. The apprenticeship covered the full South Florida pest spectrum (German cockroach harborage work, roof rat trap-out + exclusion, fire ant + carpenter ant species ID, mosquito barrier protocols, wasp/hornet/yellow jacket removal) and gave Tyler the structural diagnostic approach that defines Buggify today.
In 2018, Tyler founded Buggify Pest Solutions with a single inherited client list and a deliberate decision to keep the business family-owned and owner-operated. The model was the opposite of the national-chain approach Tyler had seen drive most South Florida pest customers to repeat dissatisfaction: rotating route techs, perimeter-spray-only protocols, multi-year contracts with auto-renewal. Buggify was designed from day one to be the alternative.
Eight years later, the model has held. Most original 2018 customers are still on the program, the West Boca shop at 22617 Middletown Dr. remains the dispatch center, and Tyler still answers the phone himself. Buggify is intentionally not a chain; Tyler’s 5-year plan includes hiring + training technicians who carry the same service standards, but the owner-operator phone-answers-directly model isn’t going away.

The structural reasons most pest companies fail their customers
When customers switch from a national chain to Buggify, the most common reason isn’t a single failed treatment; it’s a pattern. Rotating route technicians who don’t remember the last visit’s harborage. Perimeter spray that doesn’t reach German cockroach crack-and-crevice zones. Bait-only rodent subscriptions that never close the soffit-fascia entry. Multi-year contracts with auto-renewal and cancellation fees. Each of those is a structural choice the company made, and the owner-operator model reverses each of them.
Tyler runs every Buggify visit. The person who inspected your attic last quarter remembers your attic. The person who treated the German roach harborage behind your refrigerator remembers that harborage. The person who knows your HOA’s vendor registration protocol is the one handling the next coordination call. Continuity is the foundation of how recurring pest problems actually get solved, and the chain model can’t deliver it.
The bi-monthly cadence (every 8 weeks) is the second structural choice. Professional residuals hold 21 to 30 days in South Florida humidity; mosquito breeding cycles compress to 7 to 10 days in summer heat; German cockroach populations rebuild from harborages within a single quarterly visit window. National-chain quarterly cadence is calibrated to four-season climates that don’t exist here. Bi-monthly matches the actual South Florida pressure cycle.
